‘Trapped In Freedom’ is the latest track from Ahva. The Finnish experimental indie-pop artist creates unique music defined by its adventurous avant-garde spirit. This cut is shaped by the days during COVID that blurred together into one mesh: “You’re technically free, but in practice, you’re very much trapped,” Ahva explains. Musically, this landscape is represented by similar musical juxtapositions. There are hints toward beautiful, memorable melodies and a sense of exploratory, almost nursery-rhyme-esque simplicity, but the whole thing is wrapped in an unpredictable texture, with wandering synths and striding rhythms. The track is taken from his upcoming album, Clean Your Soul, which drops later in the year.
