‘You Will Be Happy’ is the new track from British band Abstract Concrete. It’s a disconcerting cut that places a boxy, rigid drum machine against the rawness of viola and electric guitar. Its simple vocal melodies are presented almost like a dark nursery rhyme, with building harmonies emerging and building as the track grows. “At its core the song is a lullaby of coercive control,” the band says. “The song takes its title from corporate forecasts which offer a secure tomorrow in the face of multiple global crises. Many of the possible situations work at small, medium and large scale and are for your comfort and convenience.” Abstract Concrete are dropping their second album, Guilty Buildings, on November 19th, 2026, via state51 Conspiracy.
