The new track from YOVA is the gripping ‘Feel Your Fear’. The experimental pop duo are always on hand to deliver a unique musical experience, and this is no different. They explain that their new track is “about the human’s fallible nature to form addictions in order to alleviate pain. We can do this with a person too: we can believe that their company will save us from the challenges we are facing and we cling to that, when in fact we haven’t addressed the real cause of those feelings.” It’s a meticulously produced track that blends funk influence with alt-pop and garage rock. Its slow build is almost haunting in atmosphere, courtesy of the juxtaposition between that imposing baritone saxophone and misleadingly sweet lead vocal.
