New York indie dance duo Water From Your Eyes (Nate Amos & Rachel Brown) have delved into a soundscape that is stripped-back and folkier than anything they've done before on their brand new album Somebody Else's Song. Late album track 'This is Slow' is a mellow tune, with a simple plucked acoustic guitar pattern, and Rachel's charming, innocently sung vocal's "I look away, You let me go... and if this is life then then I've had enough", which leaves the listener with sombre tones, despite the contradicting uplifting guitar part. Overall, 'This Is Slow' is a refreshing piece of stripped-back music which soothes the ears. -Ellie Rose-Davies
