We've been following the progress of Dorking's Vinyl Staircase for a little while now here at TMR from their summery psychedelic offering 'Last I Heard' to indie banger 'Cherry' and frontman Mike Thorpe's recent side-project outing 'Billy Shears', which captured our imagination only a matter of weeks ago. New single 'Feel It' makes a statement, oozing bags of rockstar swagger, an abundance of face-melting guitar riffs and a pounding grunge-inspired drumbeat. Opening up with some nasty feedback and gnarly chugging chords, 'Feel It' teeters on the edge of chaos barely clinging on to Thorpe's hooky vocal melodies. Having already supported the likes of Sunflower Bean and Wolf Alice, Vinyl Staircase are currently gearing up for their biggest headline show to date at The Lexington in London this Friday (28th of September), and if this track is anything to go by, they'll be sure to blow you away. - Holly Mullineaux
