‘Next To Die’ is the new single from Ugly. The band are now a six-piece and have developed through a huge lineup change into the band they are today, mixing folk, indie and prog influences into their own unique rock sound. This cut is filled with a unique energy courtesy of jangling guitar strums and reverberant backing vocals. They explain: “It is a story of compromise and trying your hardest to make something work even if it’s ultimately doomed. It feels rejuvenating and transitional - emotionally and also sonically for the band moving forward. Because of this we wanted it separate from the album which we’re currently writing.” The band kick off their UK headline tour in May 2025 at London’s Village Underground. -Dan Peeke
