TV Room is the emotive outlet of multi-instrumentalist, Buggs member and deep tan drummer Lucy Rushton. Having dazzled us with their intimate debut 'Balcony', Rushton's sophomore single 'Pretend' is another illuminating piece of guitar-lead contemplation. The therapeutic track builds from a sparse intro of trebly electric guitar and Rushton's dulcet vocals before introducing a rippling organ and an unobtrusive rhythm section that carries the weight of Rushton's words as they explain: “This song is about being strung along in a relationship...The strange hollowness that comes from going through all the familiar motions with that person – holding them, kissing them, having them tell you that they love you – and knowing that they don’t mean it.” Listen here now. -Holly Mullineaux
