The latest project of San Francisco musician Lauren Grubb, To The Wedding, have nailed a big, bold melancholy indie sound on their debut song ‘Silver Currents’. Fleshed out by Martin Newman and Evan Orfanos, the band will release their debut long-player next month, but for now, it’s all about the yearning slide guitar riffs and widescreen percussive motifs being served up here. Think Sharon Van Etten-meets-The Antlers and you’re in the right ballpark.
