Arriving alongside an announcement about the disbandment of genius underground outfit Great Dad, Speed Training is a new incarnation of the band that sees previous member Gab leaving to pursue different avenues and new members coming on board including Paddywak's Caitlin Power. Seen through by Charlie Loane, aka Piglet, who released a brilliant collaboration with Porridge Radio that we covered just yesterday (see here) 'Bright And Beautiful Morning' is the project's first outing. Doing what Loane does best, candid lyrics attempt to make sense of the world as satisfying vocal melodies navigate a surreal soundscape of off-kilter instrumentation. Giving some insight via Soundcloud, Loane shares: "I wrote the words for this song in september 2019 , I was going thru a bit of a weird time and feeling quite detached from reality . I think the song is about feeling like youre floating through the world , like everything’s falling apart around you in so many ways and you keep getting up and going to work and just feeling like….
