SOPHIE JAMIESON I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAVE

Having been lucky enough to catch a special work-in-progress set of Sophie Jamieson's at The Social in Soho recently, we're assuredly thrilled to share her open-hearted comeback single 'I dont know what to save'. Spilling her vulnerability bravely atop of a lush sonic backdrop co-produced by Jamieson and the Grammy Award-winning Guy Massey, breathtaking string arrangements come courtesy of Josephine Stephenson of Daughter and Ex:Re fame. She explains: “This song was some kind of running break for freedom. I was carrying the weight of my attachment to a person and all the pain entangled with them, but here came an out-reaching, a burst of energy and glimmer of hope. It was an enormous push towards letting go. The unbearable pain of detaching felt like entering some kind of eerie, unknown space that turned out, upon arriving, to be not only totally survivable but like pure, fresh air.” Arriving alongside news of her second album I still want to share, set for release on the 17th of January via Bella Union, we're expecting something really special from this bold, talented and ridiculously underrated singer, songwriter and producer. -Holly Mullineaux
