SOFIE ROYER FEELING BAD FORSYTH STREET
So far, the singles from Stones Throw signee Sofie Royer's newly announced sophomore album Harlequin have shared a sense of the theatrical, drawing on her Viennese heritage that celebrates the performing arts. New sneak peek 'Feeling Bad Forsyth Street' is no exception, whimsically meandering along as carnival-inspired piano parts churn through the core of the piece. Decorated with emotive strings and woozy guitar parts, the song tells the story of a brief period in New York City where Royer was “trapped after trying to pay off a personal debt accrued at the racing track”. Listen to 'Feeling Bad Forsyth Street', 'Baker Miller Pink' and 'Shweden Espresso' as we anticipate the arrival of Harlequin on the 23rd of September. -Holly Mullineaux
