SKYDADDY ALLICIN

Skydaddy, London-born Lebanese/Grenadian artist Richard Fakhre, has dropped his new single, ‘Allicin’. It’s a beautiful track that ebbs and flows with tension and release, musically and lyrically representing the crushing of a clove of garlic. Tender flutes support the warm plucking of acoustic guitars, with layers of rich vocal harmony adding a new timbral dimension to his already detailed sound. He describes the track as “a love song. I was inspired by the sound world of Jessica Pratt’s album ‘On Your Own Love Again’. Allicin is the chemical compound secreted when crushing garlic cloves.” ‘Allicin’ is taken from Skydaddy’s upcoming EP, Anchor Chains, Plane Motors & Train Whistles, which drops on January 10th, 2024. -Dan Peeke
