Jamaican artist Sevana has finally dropped the video for her hit track ‘Set Me on Fire’, which featured on her most recent EP Be Somebody. This chilling song uses a beautiful collision of violins, drums and keys to create a sound which will surely be stuck in your mind; providing the perfect accompaniment to the singers soft yet unique voice. This goosebump-inducing track is matched with video set on a beach with a large ocean, to represent how overwhelming the emotions of a bad relationship can be. The thoughtfulness behind this video and single shows how seriously Sevana takes her artistry and her need to perfect her music. This is highlighted further by her latest Instagram video in which she talks about the process of this song, claiming that she wrote it 5 years ago as she mentions how proud she is of her use of lyrics. She definitely should be as we see eloquent metaphors throughout the song, including: ‘Saturn is dust, now I’m covered in mud’. Sevana said that she was alluding to how she eventually was burdened by her ex-partners flaws, which negatively impacted her.
