Brought to our attention by the ever-reliable ears at Spinny Nights, 'black unicorn (reprise)' is an intriguing new offering from afrofuturist seigfried komidashi. Painting a picture with jazzy keys, industrial sound effects and a collage of samples mixed with spoken word, the piece takes its name from an Audre Lorde poetry collection, which had a profound influence on the artist. Arriving alongside the equally beguiling 'dance of osiris', the accomplished pair of singles introduce seigfried komidashi's forthcoming album leopard under black sun, which is set for release on the 28th of January.
