It's no secret that muted electronica master Sea Change has won our hearts here at TMR. On the precipice of her new album Mutual Dreaming (out next Friday via Shapes Recordings) the talented musician, singer and producer has revealed a final intimate preview of the album. The plainly-titled 'I Put My Hand Into A Fist' is quietly defiant as Sea change explains: “This is one of my favourites from the album. It’s about going through a transformation, from feeling locked-in in this restricted space, where you are supposed to move, and live and think and be. And finally breaking free from others’ expectations." Setting the pace with a throbbing kick sound, textural vocals tickle your ear drums, as every syllable feels like a spell being cast. The sub-bass is low enough to feel more like a bodily sensation than a describable sound, gently encouraging you to move with its subliminal rhythm.
