Brooklyn-based artist rlyblonde has dropped her first single, ‘Fantasy’. It’s an interesting track that jumps between the grit of alt-rock and serene pop hooks. She glues the track together with the crunch of her guitar and the subtle influence of early 2000s pop-punk legends. Lyrically, she explains that the track is “really about being frustrated with dating culture and the performances that women (especially women dating men) have to put on, almost out of necessity, until it hits a point where it all becomes too draining.” rlyblonde, real name Carina Allen, has worked in the industry as a photographer and creative director for various artists.
