Los Angeles-based trio Provoker have dropped their latest single, ‘Another Boy’. The band’s unique blend of tense, dark musicianship and bouncy indie pop is propelled further with this cut. Shimmering synths subtly dance around the top of the texture, while Christian Crow Petty’s voice guides us through an accompaniment defined by the dense ring of the bass guitar and tight drum kit. Their lyrics have developed beyond the days of cinematic sci-fi and supernatural creatures, and into a world rooted in reality and the fear of our own personal struggles.
