PLATYPUS COMPLEX DAISY'S SONG
East London psych-folk five piece Platypus Complex release sprawling new single 'Daisy's Song' on Strong Island Recordings. Born out of extensive jams and a close-knit musical chemistry from the group of multi-instrumentalists the new song is built around a gently repeating riff that patiently builds with luscious folky arrangements and melodies, with production from Go Kurosawa of Japanese band Kikagaku Moyo that lifts it into a wash of psychedelic swirling noise. The band describe the track in their own words, “'Daisy's song’ is our version of a slow dance. Nostalgia and lost dreams. We named it after our own Daisy who wrote the main melody that plays throughout the whole song. Repetitive comfort with unexpected turns. This song can be interpreted however you wish, it means something different to each one of us.” -Toby Evans-Jesra
