New Dehli producer Jay Pei has revealed his new project, PANELIA, and dropped the fantastic single, ‘Obey The Machine’. “I became predictable and formulaic, merely replicating what worked, echoing a phase of conformity,” Jay reflects, on the creation of his new musical project. It’s a left-field endeavour, defined by its inability to be pigeon-holed. It’s a dark, brooding track that allows sinister, electronic textures to unfold and develop alongside a tapestry of interwoven beats that take influence from jungle, breakbeat and electronica. It’s only a three-minute cut, but in that time, we are taken on a truly cinematic journey.
