Ora Violet is probably one of the most interesting bands we’ve come across in recent weeks. As you’ll hear with debut single ‘Feel The Same’, their music is a transportation vehicle to rock’s golden dawn of the early 70s. Everything from the gritty guitars, stormy drums, enigmatic lead vocal, driving bass line and even the recording style oozes with retro cool. We can’t help but be reminded of The Door’s landmark album L.A. Woman... Somehow, this London-based band convincingly portrays California charisma in a New Age rock frame and we’re here for it. Now, as for who Ora Violet are. Well, the core band is made up of multi instrumentalist production duo Black Tiles and guitarist Nick Ferman. For ‘Feel The Same’, the original trio are joined by Glosse vocalist Jeet Mulkerj and James Meynell on bass.
