The new track from Bath/Bristol band Night Swimming is entitled ‘In The Real World’. The band’s cinematic take on dream-pop is as impactful as ever, with delicately crafted chords and a slowly controlled chaos reflecting the band’s collective love of film scores, as well as Cocteau Twins and Wolf Alice. The band explain that the track “is written from the perspective of a young person who feels physically and emotionally isolated. It expresses a longing to be part of something bigger, but not feeling sure what that might look like.” The band are heading out on their first UK headline tour later in 2025. -Dan Peeke
