This acoustic live version of Mulay’s ‘Phoenix’ comes just days after the release of her EP, ANTRACYTE. The second track on the EP is special enough in its original form, but this new approach adds a new level of rawness. Over just a piano and subtle electric guitar, Mulay and a collection of backing vocalists deliver addictive melody after addictive melody. On the creative process behind the EP as a whole, she explains: “Writing is my therapy and in expressing myself, I translate raw, real, and often complicated emotion into art in as many dimensions as possible; film, music, movement and live performance.” The entire EP is well worth a listen. -Dan Peeke
