MINOR CONFLICT GLUE
Bristol-based band Minor Conflict have revealed their enigmatic new single, ‘Glue’. The band fuse a unique take on post-punk with an ultra-modern experimental folk. This track is sonically unnerving, with wandering harp and thick krautrock bass being allowed to guide us through a slowly building tempo and dynamic, into a dreamy post-punk instrumental underpinned by tight drums and the occasional warped synth roar. The band’s lyrics are provocative and touch on human inaction to environmental issues: ‘If the tulips wilt, glue them upright…if the skies melt, fetch tar and feathers, if you look wide-eyed / glue your lids shut’. ‘Glue’ is lifted from Minor Conflict’s upcoming EP, Parallels, which is due to be released on January 24th, 2025, via PRAH Recordings. -Dan Peeke
