It's been a while since we've heard from scuzzy Leeds-based duo Menace Beach and we're pleased to say that the pair's first new music since Lemon Memory is a nothing short of an absolute triumph. Featuring ex-The Fall member, radio presenter and all round legend Brix Smith, 'Black Rainbow Sound' sees Menace Beach exploring an exciting new krautrock-inspired direction. Brassy synthesizers squelch over driving drums, chugging guitar strums and the duo's distinctive shared vocal style. Discussing the collaboration the band explained, “The synchronicity of the universe just forced us and Brix together. The very day l finished reading her biography she played us on her BBC 6music show along with a wonderfully out-there monologue of how the song made her feel.
