Meggie Lennon is gearing up for the release of her debut album, Sounds From Your Lips, on July 9^th. ‘Night Shift’ is taken from that album, and gives a great taster of the winding psych-rock we should be expecting. From the opening keyboard notes and unexpected melodic and harmonic twists Lennon delivers throughout the track, it’s clear we’re in for a treat. There is clear influence from the warmth of classic psychedelic acts like ELO, but she adds her own modern twists that keep her music interesting. On the track she explains: “I was riding fast through the night and it felt both meditative and exhilarating – this feeling is reflected in the dreamy verses and then heavier guitar crescendo at the end.” Be sure to listen out for Sounds From Your Lips. -Dan Peeke
