Having turned a lot of heads last year with an onslaught of powerful live performances and a welcome re-release of her self-titled debut LP via Heavenly Recordings, Atlanta's Mattiel has just announced details of album number 2. 'Keep The Change' is the uplifting lead single from Satis Factory, which will arrive on the 14th of June via Heavenly/ATO Records. Perpetually propelled by a driving drum beat, melodic bass parts provide a dynamic platform for frontwoman Mattiel Brown's commanding vocal performance to shine from. Lyrically tackling the highs and lows of musical life Brown explains, “Keep The Change was written while I was still trying to adapt to a lot of changes going on in my life. Touring with Jack White last year and then immediately coming back to my day job was a very bizarre experience. There’s a lot of subconscious material in this song that may hold more meaning as time goes on, but some of the lyrics are pretty self explanatory.
