Having moved to London with the dream of becoming a musician at 18, “one-girl-band” Maripool has just released her second EP, A Day That Feels Like Nothing at All. ‘Mistakes I Make’ is a particularly touching track from it, setting open hearted lyrics atop of steady beats, chugging guitars and expressive sax parts played by leather.head’s Josh Evans-Jesra. Cradled by soothing backing vocals Maripool’s earnest delivery is comforting and relatable, making listeners feel instantly at home and she guides you through each section of the song.
