Flourishing and uniquely named London outfit Man/Woman/Chainsaw, announce their signing to Fat Possum with the unforgettable new single 'Ode To Clio'. Showcasing the quintet's eclecticism, 'Ode To Clio' takes a number of handbrake turns within its respectively modest run time. Opening to dreamy guitar work and hushed vocals, a low bass rumble hints at something a little more ominous before a stunning violin melody carries the piece into its second verse. Beckoned by an evil synth swell and punky bass tones, the single breaks out into an impassioned outro that somehow sounds like The Suburbs-era Arcade Fire meets System of a Down. The band explain: “It took us a year to write and it’s a nonsensical collage of people and relationships we’ve encountered throughout that time - moving from serene to tumultuous, all held together by Clio’s overarching violin melody. We think it’s the centrepiece of the EP, it encapsulates the range of the sound palette we work with.” Man/Woman/Chainsaw's debut EP Eazy Peazy will arrive on the 8th of November. -Holly Mullineaux
