LA-based musician, producer and visual artist Mal Not Bad has dropped their new single, ‘Dodgeball’. Their visionary sound is almost ambient at its core, with a pulse-based sonic world driven by a four-to-the-floor bass drum underpinning explorative examinations of folk instruments and melodies. Deep, dense reverb allows for a variety of contrasting sounds to effortlessly blend and collide, forming a bed for their airy lead vocal that sounds subtle and simple, but would’ve required an impressive knowledge of production to craft in the first place.
