Gothenburg's Makthaverskan have just announced their third album III, a logical continuation for their previous albums I and II. The lead single 'In My Dreams' is the first new music from the group in three years, so perhaps the timing is symbolic for the arrival of III. Sitting somewhere between the Cocteau Twins' iridescent shoegaze and The Smiths' jangling guitar pop, 'In My Dreams' is a return to form for the Scandinavian outfit as singer Maja Milner's graceful vocals glide elegantly above a rich soundscape of ethereal reverbs, rippling vibratos and twinkling bells.
