Arriving just ahead of the weekend, Logic1000 treats us to a tasty new house cut featuring the supple vocals of Rochelle Jordan. Opening to a blissed out synth sequence that tumbles through three descending chords, 'Promises' manages to feel warm and moody at the same time as Jordan's effortless melodies guide the way. Manipulating the filter on the synth to add depth and texture, deep electronic rhythms give the ethereal work a sturdy foundation, as tasteful percussion and carefully placed delays punctuate the mix. Coming from her debut album Mother, which is due for release on the 22nd of March via Because, 'Promises' will join the equally excellent previous List Pick 'Self to Blame' on what promises (sorry!) to be a truly spectacular record. -Holly Mullineaux
