Rising duo lilo have dropped their new single, ‘It's Not The Same In Winter’. The pair put their signature vocal harmonies to good use throughout the track, creating an airy world of stunning melody above a simple, plucked acoustic guitar accompaniment. They force the track to remain level throughout, juxtaposing the crisis discussed in the track’s lyrics. Helen Dixon explains that it “comes from being in the full throes of a breakup… I started to feel like whole sections of my brain had gone missing. I phoned Christie [Gardner]. I said: it’s so weird, I can’t remember a single thing about my ex. I can’t picture what he looked like, and all the memories I have feel like they belong to someone else.” The childhood friends are releasing their debut album, Blood Ties, on March 28th, 2025, and will be touring the UK in April, -Dan Peeke
