Having already been noted as “one of the most in-demand Russian producers and DJ’s internationally at the moment”, Lay-Far is riding high on a wave of success, with last month’s ‘Sirius Rising’ providing the producer the attention he deserves. ‘Draw The Curtains (The Rain Comes Down)’ (also taken from the War Is Over EP) follows a similar vibe, with unexpectedly jazzy harmonies blending with the industrial sounding hi-hats and glitchy, tweeting melodic lines. The artistic approach to production leans away from the often overbearing focus on commercialism, and instead produces a piece that focuses on the understated while retaining its successful, quirky style. -Dan Peeke
