KITTY FITZ END OF THE WORLD

South East London songwriter and producer Kitty Fitz imparts a celestial charm on new single 'End of the World'. A follow up to 'Life of the Party' released just last month, Fitz recognises the track as one of her favourites, as its considerate lyricism "...is the part in the story where I finally let go of certain habits and let myself be free and loved, just be present." This presence is captured in the thoughtful space which suffuses a delicately strung melody of gradually enveloping guitar, bass and percussion. The instrumentation takes its time meditatively, adjacent to Fitz's gently delivered, self-reflective verses. Fitz's eureka moment lands in brief clangour towards the track's end. It's unanticipated though strongly felt, a genuine imagining of an important realisation. Fitz beautifully illuminates a special path of internal discovery, laying meaningful groundwork for what she intends to further explore within her upcoming EP The Man in Me. -Kayla Sandiford
