London-based quartet Keo have returned with their fantastic new single, ‘Crow’. The band, led by brothers Finn and Conor Keogh, have established a unique indie-grunge sound that blends an accessible melodic approach, with a deep, dark sonic palette that transports you straight back to the early nineties. The instrumental here builds slowly from its restrained early moments into a distortion-riddled furious climax, made more emotionally anguished by Finn’s soul-bearing voice and lyrics. The track’s “lyrics share a perspective on time and recall the anxiety I felt when a loved one was suffering with cancer, who is now thankfully clear of it. I’ve always been a spiritual person looking for meaning in everything.” The band are headlining London’s The Windmill at the end of August. -Dan Peeke
