Jens Kuross has shared a brand new track in the shape of ‘Eclipse Apollo’, his second double A-side single which impacts on December 2nd via the taste-making Aesop Records (SOHN, TĀLĀ). The trained jazz musician, who became an active member of Ry X, The Acid and Howling’s live band, blends atmospheric piano with pulsating rhythms to create a gently haunting hue, bolstered by his unique and intriguing vocal. Of this latest cut, Kuross explains, "This song, from a compositional standpoint, is pretty straight forward: Just 4 chords and a pretty melody repeated over and over. So I ended up layering it with a bunch of unrelated rhythmical elements that on paper would never work stacked on top of each other. I’ve said it before but it takes a little ugliness to make something truly beautiful." Beautiful indeed. -G.O'B
