From the spiraling synths of early single ‘Startime’, through the heady grooves of ‘Ebony’ and ‘Apocalypse’, to the lush, confessional ‘Don’t Feel Like’, we’ve long been fans of Berlin-based artist/producer Jacob Vetter aka JATA. Each track showcases Vetter’s elegant penchant for dovetailing the slick sultriness of 21^st century RnB with the brute strength of harder hitting electronic music, but never has the marriage between these two forces been as thrilling as on ‘Monster’ - the flamboyant first single from his forthcoming debut album (out later this year). Gargantuan bass stabs meet late-night radio saxophones in this off-kilter number, not to mention Vetter’s soulful voice which is becoming increasingly dynamic with every release.
