Following on from ‘EZ’ earlier this year, Jamie Lane has dropped an atmospheric new track in the form of ‘Sweet / Bitter’. He explains the track’s emotional background: “This one is pretty personal, it’s basically about being involved and in love with someone to the point where it blinds you from the underlying incompatibilities and clashing of values. A blinding as chronic as the will to suppress those feelings. You want it to work out, or maybe you don’t want to be alone”. The sound of the track juxtaposes its background somewhat, with falsetto vocals, bouncing beats and warm soundscapes providing the texture. Lane is currently working on his debut album, which should be available soon. - Dan Peeke
