It's safe to say we're big Jack Garratt fans, there's scarcely a track we haven't covered from the London-based crooner since he first arrived on the scene. Last night, Garratt announced his debut album, Phase, which is out via Island Records on 19th February 2016, putting him neatly in the frame for the BBC Sound Of poll. We think there's a strong chance he'll win, too. Along with that news - and the unveiling of a Brixton Academy headline date - he also teased the record with a new single, 'Breathe Life'. More direct and overtly hooky than his previously more intricately brooding compositions, 'Breathe Life' boasts arguably his best chorus to-date which comes wrapped in those signature resonant pianos and chopped-up beats. - DC
