South London Speedy Wunderground signee Heartworms has returned with her newest single, ‘Jacked’. This type of powerful, punchy sonic experience has become typical of Heartworms’ sound; ferociously rigid rhythms in a similar vein to Kraftwerk combine with dextrous, darkly humorous lyricism akin to PJ Harvey. The track is accompanied by a music video made by long-time collaborator Gilbert Trejo, who describes the song as “the soundtrack to a paranoid fever dream. There’s a movement and energy to the song that Jojo and I knew we needed to convey when we were writing the video.
