22-year-old singer, songwriter, and poet Hataałii has revealed his new track, ‘She Ain't Coming Back’. It’s a crushingly sad ballad fronted by Hataałii’s deep voice, singing blunt lyrics about absence. His folk-country arrangement is cinematic and dark, with the twang of acoustic guitar being offset by slow, distant strings. He says: “It's like if Batman got broken up with during a solar eclipse and it started raining blood or something. I'm not sure what else to say about it. The twelve-string guitar sounds like stars in someone's eyes, while the cellos pull you into a dark current.” ‘She Ain't Coming Back’ is taken from Hataałii’s new album, I’ll Be Around, which drops on April 4th, 2025. -Dan Peeke
