Polish experimental composer, pianist, and vocalist Hania Rani has dropped a dark yet restrained number in ‘Don’t Break My Heart’. It's the third single from her forthcoming album, Ghosts. The track is led by her ethereal vocals that float gently over a melancholic piano melody, and features Duncan Bellamy of the Portico Quartet. It begins softly, as muted tones glitch into an adventurous and more playful sonic tapestry built on synths, bass and textured drum beats from Bellamy. The offering is accompanied by a haunting music video that weaves through themes of musical identity, improvisation, and dark playfulness, paying homage to the foundation of her new album. – Malvika Padin
