Now signed to Ghostly International, London-via-Brooklyn artist Goya Gumbani teams up with Yaya Bey & lojii & Fatima on the thoughtful new single 'Chase the Sunrise'. Spilling earnest lyricism over downbeat hip-hop beats, Gumbani's flow is comforting and smooth as blissed-out backing vocals reinforce that warm, fuzzy feeling of being at home with family. Acknowledging lost loved ones and those that paved the way in their own lives, the accompanying video, directed by Brice Birdsall, is a beautifully understated extension of the single. He explains: "Grief presents differently to each person that’s forced to face it. In this video, we gave it a seat at the table while Goya, Yaya Bey, and lojii turned to face their experiences in their own individual ways.
