To be clear, we’re big fans of Goat Girl here at TMR, but this time the South London-based four piece have truly outdone themselves. Yesterday they shared their storming new single ‘The Man’ with one of the best music videos we’ve seen in a long time. The concept for the clip, directed by the fantastic CC Wade, was conceived by Wade and the band over a pint in Wetherspoons, where they discussed Beatlesmania and flipping traditional gender roles. The result is a joyous and witty retelling of a past that never happened (but maybe still could), as hoards of hysterical men go nuts for the Goat Girls. ‘The Man’ arrives alongside highly anticipated details of the band’s debut self-titled album.
