Since releasing his Garren LP last year, the young Californian musician Garren Sean hasn’t let our speakers go cold for long, beaming four warm, lo-fi tracks our way already in 2018. His most recent collage of blues, soul and jazz is ‘Save Me’ - a sunlit number of hazy production, sensual guitar licks, and Honne-esque drum pads. Garren Sean is no doubt a class act, the piano and violin sample giving an air of Dev Hynes or Frank Ocean, especially where he takes his naturally soulful vocals off into a vocoder direction.
