Coincidentally landing on the same day as the announcement of our Alt Escape showcase in Brighton on the 11th of May, which we're pleased to say he'll be performing at, Young-signed songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Ethan P. Flynn has shared a light-hearted new single. Following his excellent early releases B-sides and Rarities: Volume 1 and the 2022 EP Universal Deluge, the seemingly infallible musician pulls us further into his realm on 'Used To It'. Painting a relatively sombre opening scene, 'Used To It' transforms into a playful combination of cinematic strings, experimental electronics and chugging guitars, underpinned by sporadic yet sturdy drums, rising and falling in momentum and dynamics throughout. Managing to convey an entire spectrum of emotions and textures in as little as 3 minutes, it's a masterful effort from a truly talented artist.
