Emma Bradley has dropped another excellent single. ‘California’ is taken from her new EP, Grow Or Die, which also contains her recent single, ‘Burning Trees’. Both tracks are heartfelt and tender, with that subtle acoustic guitar providing a gentle bed filled with textural swells that complement her unique voice. The visualiser that accompanies the track is warm and becomes more interesting when you consider the impact Bradley’s synthesia has on its colour palette: “I'll be able to visualise it really early on: the feeling of it, the colours, the shapes, the textures and all of that.
