Mellow South London songwriter Ego Ella May is taking time to bask in the glow of her recent sophomore album Honey For Wounds. It's an utterly wonderful body of work that must be heard. Ego has just released a new music video directed by Daniel Aremu to complement album track 'Tonight I'm Drowning'. It's a clean and crisp production, sprinkled with synthetic beats, a lively bass part, and misty jazz piano. The video sees Ego and her bandmates performing the song in a darkened, navy blue room, visually mirroring the lyrics "I'm drowning". A dancer intersects the shots, jolting and jerking her body, emitting a sense of struggle, as Ego sings "And oh, my solitude blues are pining, pining over you, my legs, open, missing you comes in waves, tonight I'm drowning." -Ellie Rose-Davies
