English punk band DITZ have returned with their fantastic new cut, ‘Taxi Man’. It’s a punchy, attitude-filled cut that oozes swagger from its opening riff. The track is mostly centred on intense low-end distortion and bass rumblings, but after a minute-long interlude, the track bursts to life with a menacingly heavy instrumental. “We wrote it across a couple of days in Cologne, in a disused air raid bunker,” they explain. “We properly fell out while we were writing it. There was nothing coming for so long until we stumbled into Taxi Man. The whole song came together pretty quickly and is now collectively our favourite track to play live. It’s one of those moments you hope to recreate again sometime but can’t really imagine the scenario.” DITZ are releasing their new album, Never Exhale, on January 24th, 2025, via Republic of Music. -Dan Peeke
