Daisy & The Deadheads have released their newest effort, ‘Baby’. The band have crafted an impressively danceable sound to underpin emotionally complex lyrics: “The 'Baby' in question isn’t that of a doo-wop teenage love affair, but the original, wailing-on-all-fours variety, with lyrics delving into the profound and often unspoken struggles surrounding fertility.” It’s a slowly crescendoing piece that takes us on a journey through its charmingly lo-fi layers into a fuzzy, kraut-punk crescendo. ‘Baby’ is lifted from their upcoming EP, Butter Wouldn’t Melt, which is due to be released on June 7th, 2024, via Mango Wax Records. -Dan Peeke
